ADRV936x Cable Brackets

The U.FL connections on each of the ADRV9361-Z7035 and ADRV9364-Z7020 PCBs are delicate and prone to damage from clumsy users. In order to protect and preserve the board, a pair of cable brackets have been designed to limit any external force on the connection. While nothing replaces a careful and considerate user, these designs help to reduce any damage and keep the U.FL cables plugged in.

Both designs were made in a free tool, Tinkercad, and printed on several different machines during development and prototype stages. The Selective Laser Sintering done by Sculpteo has produced good quality results at reasonable prices.

Low Profile U.FL Cable Holder

A simple design to protect the U.FL cable connections, printed to line up with the mounting holes on the PCBs for a firm, secure connection. The cutouts in the bottom of the print are designed to match the dimensions of the U.FL cable when it is mated with the connector on the PCB.

A second brace is included flipped over so the user can see the rectangular cutouts.

L Bracket Cable Holder

A more complex design than the cable holder. A series of mounting holes is added so the SMA end of the U.FL cables can be mounted safely, preventing dangling wires or connectors from shorting to ground and shutting down or damaging the system.
